After Google introduced Google Analytics 4, getting Tracking ID of Google Analytics is a bit trickier.
If your site has never been tracked with GA Universal Analytic
Here’s a nice video showing what you should do:
If your site has been previously tracked with GA Universal Analytics
If there is a chance that your site might have been tracked by GA, than you need to check:
- if it is stilll being tracked
- if it has an existing “Property” in Google Analytics with historical data
Depending on that, you may proceed in different directions.
If it is still tracked, than contact the marketing agency that set up for you that tracking.
If it no longer tracks your site you can either create a new GA Universal Analytics property (recommended) or use the tracking ID you already have.
