Solutions to frequent problems

Cookie-notice does not show up

It may be caused by one of the following:

  1. The code of the country you are browsing from is not listed in the countries where cookie notice should show up
  2. You are using a VPN that redirects your traffic through servers in a different country
  3. The cache of your site and your CDN is not cleared (if you are using a caching solution)
  4. Your caching plugin/solution is minifying Javascript files or changing their load order
  5. If you are logged in make sure that you are not using a user role that is excluded from tracking
  6. If you are not logged in make sure that there is no icon of a crossed out eye in the bottom left corner of the screen. If it is, than it indicates that you enabled traffic exclusion via a URL parameter “?tracking=off”. Click the icon to allow tracking and showing cookie notice.

Function X doesn’t work

It may be caused by one of the following:

  1. You did not clear the cache of your site or CDN after saving last changes (if you are using a caching solution),
  2. Your caching plugin/solution is minifying Javascript files or changing their load order.

If doing the above doesn’t help, please enable debug mode (option in the main settings) and contact us.

How do I translate cookie notice texts with WMPL or Polylang?

In order to be able to translate texts, you first need to write them in the cookie notice settings in the “Appearance” > “Customize” section.

This step is necessary even if you like the original texts and don’t want to change them. In such case simply copy the original texts and paste them in the appropriate fields.

After you do that, translation options will show up in “String Translations” menus in WPML and Polylang.
